Meet the Team

Maya Holmes

Doctor of Chiropractic (DC), Licentiate of Chiropractic RCC (LRCC)

As the founder of MH Chiropractic, Maya leads the clinic with a patient-centred approach, combining hands-on spinal and extremity manipulation, manual soft-tissue techniques, and dry needling to support each individual’s unique needs. She takes a holistic view of health, addressing posture, movement, and lifestyle to achieve lasting results.

Having studied contemporary dance for a year at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, Maya Holmes developed a keen interest in injury prevention and rehabilitation. This passion inspired her to pursue Chiropractic studies at HSU (formerly AECC), where she built a strong foundation in musculoskeletal health and holistic care.

Maya is a proud member of the British Chiropractic Association and Royal College of Chiropractors, having successfully completed the RCC’s Postgraduate Training Programme (PRT) and now holds the title of Licentiate of Chiropractic (LRCC). Maya has a special interest in women’s health and paediatrics. She is dedicated to helping people of all ages move better, feel better, and live well.

Joanna Callaghan Chiropractor

Joanna Callaghan

Doctor of Chiropractic (DC), Licentiate of Chiropractic RCC (LRCC)

Jo completed her training alongside Maya at HSU (formerly AECC) and is also a member of the British Chiropractic Association and Royal College of Chiropractors.  Having experienced an ankle injury during her professional dance training, Jo understands the wide-reaching impact pain and loss of function can have on an individual’s life. She is passionate about providing transparent and research-informed care, currently completing further postgraduate studies in healthcare research.

Manual techniques she uses in her practice include spinal manipulative therapy, myofascial release and dry needling. Following the initial assessment, she will discuss if and how these may be suitable for your individual presentation. She will also give her advice and recommendations for getting you back to activity.

She enjoys treating people from all walks of life, though has a particular interest in older adults and chronic pain.
